Luckily caught a glimpse of the first known painting by Michelangelo Buonarroti, The Torment of Saint Anthony, ca. 1487ā€“88. FINAL viewing is at the MET tomorrow- Labor Day.

    this is amazing and completely insane! he must have been a rebellious teen when he drew this. what beautiful craftsmanship and great composition.
